During the Centennial Celebration for the Statue of Liberty, Kelloggs wished to do something meaningful that would generate attention and respectful recognition for its involvement.

We came up with the idea of saluting the oldest living relative of the sculptor of Lady Liberty, Bartholdi. We found this person, Raymond Bartholdi, a refined, elderly gentlemen, then in his eighties, living in a nursing home in the South. He had never visited the Statue in New York, and his only remaining dream in life was to be able to do so.

Kelloggs more than realized Mr. Bartholdi's dream. We brought Ray and his daughter to New York, chartered a special boat, just prior to the Centennial Celebrations, and, with full press on board, with Ray as guest of honor, spent a full morning circling and recircling Liberty Island. Television cameras captured Ray Bartholdi's excitement and he became the media's center of attention, talking about his sculptor relative, sharing his formidable knowledge about the history of the Statue's creation and passage from France to New York, and his feelings about her symbolic significance as well as his feelings in that moment.

A variety of national print and broadcast outlets covered the story, acknowledging and attributing the role played by Kelloggs in the fulfillment of this man's lifelong dream. We also produced, scripted, shot and edited a two minute video news feature that was distributed to TV stations coast-to-coast, and picked up by 143 stations.
